If you're a video editor, thumbnail artist, scriptwriter, or manager, your portfolio is everything. But anyone can list credits on a website. What makes ICDB.gg different is verification — every credit on your profile can be tied to a real creator in our database, endorsed by them, and displayed with official badges.

This guide walks you through building a professional portfolio that creators actually trust.

Activate Pro Mode

Start by enabling Professional Mode in your account settings. This unlocks:

• A dedicated Pro Hub profile with skills, niches and other pro infos
• Adding all your links, from Behance to LinkedIn to Ko-Fi.
• Portfolio galleries with verified client badges
• Work experience tracking with creator associations
• A showreel section with optional background autoplay
• Hiring availability status

Import Credits from YTJobs

If you've listed your work on YTJobs, you can import those credits directly:

1. Go to your Pro Dashboard
2. Click "Import from YTJobs"
3. Paste your YTJobs profile URL
4. Our system matches each credit to creators in the ICDB database

Matched verified credits appear as verified clients on your profile. If a creator isn't in our database yet, the credit is stored and automatically gets sent for verification when they join.

Manual Credits & Creator Verification

You can also add credits manually:

1. Search for the creator in our database
2. Add your role (Editor, Thumbnail Artist, Manager, etc.)
3. Submit for verification

The creator receives a notification and can approve the credit with one click. Once approved, it displays a green Verified badge on your profile. This works for long-term positions and project credits.

Showreels That Stand Out

Your showreel appears at the top of your Pro profile and can autoplay in your header (if you choose to). This is prime real estate — use it to showcase your best 60-90 second reel. As an alternative you can showcase a thumbnail carousel or choose one of the many other options to customize your profile.

Get Endorsed by Creators

Endorsements are the gold standard on ICDB.gg. When a verified creator endorses you:

• It appears in your Vouch Ledger with their name and profile linked
• You earn +150 XP
• The creator earns +75 XP
• The endorsement is public and permanent

Creators you've worked with can endorse your skills directly from your profile. Tell your clients to vouch for you!

Ghost Profiles & Claim Links

Sometimes a creator you worked with isn't on ICDB yet. Their creator page might already exist, or you can submit it here Send it to the creator — when they claim it, they can instantly verify your credits (Coming soon: Creating verification links from your profile that let's clients verify your credits without having to register).

Hiring Openings & Talent Pool

Creators can post specific roles they're hiring for (Editor, Thumbnail Artist, Scriptwriter, etc.). These appear in the Talent Pool where you can filter by niche, platform, and role type.

When you apply through the integrated contact system, your Pro profile, portfolio, and verified credits are attached automatically — no cold DMs needed.

Theme Your Profile

All users can customize their profile theme: Rose, Emerald, Teal, Amber, YouTube Red, Twitch Purple, or Monochrome. Pick a color that matches your brand.
